Currently, the network is affiliated with the Laboratory of Political and Social History at UFJF, is registered as a research group with CNPq, and carries out activities as an active working group of the National Association of History (ANPUH).

In addition, it maintains several international initiatives, especially in Ibero-American countries. The DHM network fulfills the purpose of fostering transnational exchanges and dialogues, constituting a dynamic space for discussion among researchers and students in the field.
